Resources to help you be a friend to bees.

Thank you for visiting this bee blog.

We’re a husband and wife team, and we’re committed to doing whatever we can to help save bees. This bee blog is one way that we’re living up to that commitment.

We hope you’re visiting this site as a kindred spirit, and that you, too, have an interest in helping to save our disappearing bees.

Learning about and helping bees

This Bee Blog offers information, tips and resources related to learning about bees, beekeeping, and saving bees. We hope  you’ll find something that will inspire you to make a difference when it comes to helping bees survive.

In particular, you’ll find information about:

  • Bees and their role in our environment and economy.
  • The impact of declining bee populations.
  • How people are helping bees and other pollinators.
  • Beekeepers and their experiences in beekeeping.
  • What you, too, can do to be a friend to bees.

If you’re new to the topic of bees, then please make no mistake that the threat to our bees is real.  There is now overwhelming evidence that the survival of bees and other pollinators is being severely threatened.

Causes for bee losses include factors such as: pesticides, loss of habitat, diseases and other forces. If left unchecked, the future we hand down to our children and grandchildren could be a future without bees.

You can help by being informed and by taking whatever actions you can, big or small, to help save our bees.

We hope this Bee Blog helps.

Thank you for caring about bees, and thank you again for visiting this bee site.
